Ok, don’t go nuts over this, but I am here to say that the most valuable skill in business is storytelling, and AI fluency comes second.

The more I integrate AI into creative operations and systems, the less I think of it as an entity and the more it feels like a collaborator inside the craft. Phew.

Which is why Scott Galloway’s argument on Diary of a CEO landed the way it did. He calls storytelling the most durable advantage in the modern economy: the ability to look at data, build a narrative arc, and communicate it in a way that moves people. For anyone selling ideas, and that means communicators, advertisers, sales professionals, all of us, people buy the story you tell about the product and the strategy. They also buy the relationship that makes them trust it.

Which is the unscalable thing. AI can write the deck, map the accounts, and draft the email. It cannot make a buyer feel something. That part is still us.

AI is a tool. The story is still yours. The relationship is still the work. Invest in the part that doesn’t scale. It compounds.
