The problem
Every year Motorola borrows a colour from Pantone. This time it needed one of its own: Moto Indigo, its first proprietary colour, created with Pantone as a pillar of the new identity and premiering at MWC Barcelona. There was no shoot, and no phone came in Indigo yet.
The position we took
A brand colour is usually a decision about a logo. This one is a stance: what you carry speaks for you.
What we made
Moto Indigo. A point of view. An 83-second manifesto film and four 15-second pillar films. The film moves from Motorola today through the heritage that earned it, and turns on the reveal: an official Pantone chip carrying the Moto Indigo name. From there, only Indigo, across devices, interface, packaging and retail. The cutdowns sign off with one more word: Hello Moto Indigo. Built entirely in house from campaign imagery, archive, textures and the new identity’s metallic spheres, delivered with an open-file toolkit so every future campaign can rebuild from the originals.
